Because I have worked with computers for more than 40 years I have acquired a broad and deep knowledge and have experience that spans from Hardware Architecture to Corporate Strategy .
Peter Ole Frederiksen is an executive consultant and engagement manager specializing in application development effectiveness, methods and tools. He has more than 40 years experience in information systems and application development, where he has always been pioneering in applying advanced methods and techniques to the development process.
He has knowledge and experience in the finance industry, local and central government, hospitals, and agriculture, including dairies, slaughterhouses and food processing.
He has consulted for system development centers in a number of industries including banking and government on improving the application development process effectiveness including the introduction of tools, methods, and measurement .
His recent engagement experience includes application development effectiveness assessment, recommendations, and process improvement assistance for a major Danish bank, as well as one of the largest banks in the Philippines.
He has performed year 2000 readiness assessment review for a US manufacturing organization, and application development process assessment for year 2000 for some of the largest banks in Scandinavia as well as local and regional government and a major international manufacturer in the petrochemical industry.
He is well aquatinted with the Capability Maturity Model from Software Engineering Institute and is a frequent speaker on this and other subjects relating to systems development for G.U.I.D.E, the Danish Data Association and IBM.
He has published several articles on the subject including an article on the architectural design of distributed systems which was subsequently referenced by Mr. James Martin.
He has extensive experience as a facilitator and has frequently developed innovative methods and approaches to novel problems
Mr. Frederiksens native language is Danish, He is fluent in English and has a working knowledge of Swedish, Norwegian and German, and knows some French. He is a graduate of the European Systems Research Institute. He is a member of IEEE, ACM, DANMET ( the Danish subsidiary of IFPUG), and the Danish Data Association (Dansk IT) where is is on the board of the local chapter and a member of the group on system development.
